The DETECTIVE SerieS

Welcome to the Detective Series, where your dog gets to use their superpower - their nose!

Scent work (commonly known as Nosework and Scent Detection), is one of the most enriching activities you can do with your dog. It builds confidence, reduces stress, and provides incredible mental stimulation. These classes teach dogs to problem solve, how to search, and how to hunt for target odors!

Our classes are:

  • Small groups for individualized coaching

  • 60-75 minute weekly classes

  • Positive and reward based training

  • Located at Canine Meadows Pet Resort, Pitt Meadows, BC

Scent work foundations (lEVEL oNE)

In this 6-week beginner class, dogs learn to channel their natural hunting instincts into a fun and rewarding sport. Through guided scent games and searches, dogs build confidence, focus, and problem-solving skills while learning how to use their nose with purpose.

Scent work is an excellent activity for shy, reactive, or high-energy dogs, as it allows them to work independently while building confidence. This powerful form of mental enrichment can tire dogs out for hours, all while strengthening the bond between dog and handler.

For ages 5+ months

$240 for 6 classes

Starting March 30th for 6 weeks on Mondays @ 6:45pm, Pitt Meadows

Scent work Investigator (lEVEL two)

In this 6-week class, dogs and their humans begin taking their scent work skills to the next level. Your dog will be imprinted on a target odor and continue to do searches move beyond containers and boxes as dogs begin working odor on objects, surfaces, and new environments.

Handlers will develop a deeper understanding of how scent behaves and how to read their dog’s unique scenting signals during a search. Dogs continue to build confidence, problem-solving skills, and independence as they learn to hunt for odor in more complex setups.

This class is designed to strengthen teamwork between dog and handler while expanding your dog’s ability to search successfully in new challenges.

Prerequisite: Scent Work Foundations or instructor approval.

For ages 6+ months

The Academy SerieS

Our group classes are designed to be supportive, realistic, and easy to follow, no matter yours or your dog’s experience. Each program blends short training sessions, guided activities, and clear weekly homework so you and your dog can make steady, successful progress. Our classes are:

  • Small groups for individualized coaching

  • 50 minute weekly classes

  • A rolling curriculum so you can join anytime

  • Positive and reward based training

  • Located at Good Dog Rocky Point, Port Moody, BC

Puppy playschool

A fun, foundational class that focuses on safe socialization, guided puppy play, and early training skills. Perfect for brand-new puppy parents wanting confidence, clarity, and a well-rounded start.

For ages 8 - 16 weeks

$180 for 4 classes (taxes not included)

Thursdays @ 6:30pm, Port Moody

  • Handling

  • Socalization

  • Play and interactions

  • Body language

  • Sit and lay down

  • Mouthing

  • Early foundations to recall and walking

  • Potty and crate training

Puppy pawlementry

A practical, skills-focused next step for puppies who are ready to build on the basics. This class introduces important manners, real-life training tools, and continued socialization so your puppy can navigate the world with confidence.

For ages 12 - 20 weeks

$180 for 4 classes (taxes not included)

Thursdays @ 7:30pm, Port Moody

  • Settling

  • Socialization and body language

  • Handler engagement

  • Recall foundations

  • Puppy play and interactions

Adolescent Academy

A supportive, skills-focused class for dogs and their handlers navigating the challenging adolescent stage. This program helps you rebuild focus, improve communication, and work through common teenage behaviors in a realistic, positive way.

For ages 20 weeks to 2 years

$180 for 4 classes (taxes not included)

Wednesdays @ 6:30pm, Port Moody

  • Loose leash walking

  • Demand barking

  • Stay

  • Jumping up

  • Recall

  • Handler engagement

  • Leave it and impulse control
